| How to Qualify for the
Louisiana State Championship
Teams must play in at least three (3) Events after
February 1 of current year and Two (2) of them being In the months of May and
June AND meet
the following requirements. Two (2) of the events must be in
Louisiana. If a team plays their first event after June 1, they are subject to be bumped in
classification if warranted.
In order to be eligible to receive a berth,
a team must have their roster on-line prior to the event in
which they qualified or have hard copy submitted to the
Tournament Director. If their roster is not properly submitted then the
berth will bump down to the next team.
League Play - In a USSSA Sanctioned League, The top
50% of
the teams in all divisions receive State Championship Berths.
Tournament Play - in a USSSA Sanctioned Tournament, the top
25% of the teams in all divisions receive State Championship
Berths.
NIT Tournament Play - In a USSSA Sanctioned NIT Tournament,
the top 50% of the teams in all divisions receive State
Championship Berths.
Tournament Participation - If a team has made a legitimate
attempt to Qualify and has fallen short, they may request an
at-large berth from the State Headquarters.
At-Large Berths - With the guidance of the Louisiana
USSSA Baseball Directors, The State Director can award Berths
that are deemed to perpetuate the USSSA Baseball Program.
THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS WILL HAVE SEPARATE BRACKETS FOR
"MAJOR", "AAA", "AA" ,
"A" and "All-Star". Teams
will be notified if a bracket has to be combined.
Ages 5U-8U and 15U-18U - State Championship is an open
event. Anyone can enter this event. Any team that participates
in the State Championship will qualify for the World Series in
these ages only.
Any item may be changed at the State Headquarters
discretion.
